About this deal

James Lake – Soulblight Gravelords: Can you beat 120 Zombies? Okay can you beat 120 zombies with a bunch of buff pieces and 20 Graveguard to act as their ace for key combats? Yeah… There isn’t much hiding in this list, you are using your ranged units to decimate your opponent and force them to close with your army which has some beefy Mirebrute Troggoth’s. Then you use the unit of 20 Gutrippaz to either claim the center objectives or finish off any remaining forces that get too close to your ranged units. Skullbugz: Well that’s a strange one… granted I’ve not really tried to write a Big Waaagh list yet because I’m having so much fun with Ironjawz – who can’t take ‘Dobby’– but also because it plays very differently to AOS2, in that I am reasonably certain it is much slower to build up the Waagh points. This deadly duo combines the cunning of a Kruleboyz boss with the primal strength of a Mirebrute Troggoth, the smellier cousin of the Dankhold Troggoth that the Gloomspite Gitz often coerce into battle.

As for clans, melee builds will take Grinnin’ Blades and ranged builds will take Big Yellers and no-one will take Skulbugz. There’s some real damage output you can push with Sludgerakers in particular, as with Shaman buff up and Sludgeraker buff aura in range a unit of 20 gutrippaz will dump out approximately 20 Mortal Wounds – Nasty! JoeK: for list building, I’ve also looked only sparingly at the other factions, and have written up how I would build this army if I played them:You’ll be wanting loads of Gutrippaz in your Kruleboyz orruks armies, and this multipart kit gives you loads of variety. The heads and arms are interchangeable across all the bodies, they’ve got a selection of weapons, and there are enough bits to build a Boss, a Banner Bearer, and your choice of two different musicians. When I look at the Ironjawz side of the book, there’s a lot to like; when I look at Kruleboyz, there’s a lot to get excited about. When I look at my beloved Bonesplitterz, I just feel sad. For wizards Touched by the Waaagh! lets you do deal D3 mortals to the caster and add the damage done to your casting roll. Bring some healing and don’t blow yourself up. That said, bonuses to casting are too good to ignore. Artefacts

The book lumps the Orruk Warclans into 4 different armies. The Kruleboyz, Ironjawz, Bonesplitterz, and the Big Waaagh. We’re looking at just the Kruleboyz today, but will be breaking down the others soon. How To Play Age of Sigmar Kruleboyz: 2,000 Point Armies Kruleboyz have only a few other units to choose from to add more punch to the army or to buff the rest of your units. If your opponent has any threats hiding behind a pesky ward save, why not strip them of that safety net with Nasty Hex? Now you can ensure your savage bolts don’t find their impact blunted. Simon Eccles – Flesh-eater Courts: Speccles brings the long in the tooth FEC book to an impressive 4-1 finish, with this Blisterskin list relying heavily on summoning on additional bodies to supplement the double big boys and 9 Crypt Flayers Hobgrot Slittaz got cheaper and remained otherwise unchanged. At their new price they start to creep into respectability in the sense that if you want a cheap screen this is your best option, but it’s not an exciting one. First up is the regeneration – this is standard Trogg regeneration and whilst it’s not brilliant it does mean that the Marshcrawler is mostly immune to ‘chip’ damage (occasional mortal wounds throughout the game), and his Troggoth keyword does mean he gets some benefit in Gitz from the Bad Moon. Let’s be fair it a good ability on a 12 wound model, which is a good bonus.
